How San Antonio Veterinarians and a Rescue Group teamed up to heal this pup.
This is Bella. She is super sweet, but super shy. She is a rescue dog with the Weimaraner Rescue of Texas. The lesion on her neck was – you guessed it – from a collar embedded in her throat. It was removed when she was under anesthesia for her spay.
We immediately gave her an injection of a long-acting antibiotic and began twice daily wound care (hydrotherapy) on her neck wound.
The rest of her skin is also a “hot mess”, but for other reasons. She is on oral meds and daily prescription baths to speed her healing.
Check out her before and after pics! These pics are less than 5 days apart. Bella is healing rapidly!
We expect her to get back to enjoying the good life soon!
The Weimaraner Rescue of Texas is a 501-C-3 non-profit charitable organization and provides remarkable foster care, rehabilitation, and veterinary treatment to rescue weimaraners across the state. They need people like you to help!
