Dr. Nikki Lejeune has always had an interest in science and nature, and suspected that a career working with animals would suit her well. During her high school and college years, she realized her true passion was helping people. By working in the world of veterinary medicine, Dr. Lejeune is able to improve not only the lives of pets, but the people who care for them!
A Houston native, Dr. Lejeune earned her Bachelor’s degree in animal science from Stephen F. Austin State University and then attended Texas A&M University to earn her veterinary degree.
In her free time, Dr. Lejeune enjoys reading, sewing, baking, scuba diving, and dancing. She even performed as a ballroom dancer in the Ballet Brazos’ 2015 and 2016 productions of The Nutcracker!
In Spring of 2018, Dr. Lejeune adopted her dog, Roux, from a Rio Grande Valley animal rescue. Roux is a 2.5 year old Catahoula mix who loves walks, snuggles, and eating mangoes.
